Limping No More
Feb 26 2008
I was stretching, getting ready for our Thursday morning run when I lost my balance and slipped off of the side of the curb. My ankle was so badly twisted that it could have been broken. I was in a lot of pain so some of the girls helped me to my house. All ready swelling, my foot was stuck in a contorted position. I couldn’t even move my toes. Some students prayed for me, and soon the swelling had gone down. I was then able to wiggle my toes and move my foot. The pain had lessened, but my ankle was still tender.
Throughout the day I was limping, but was thankful for the healing that had already taken place--for an injury like this it would normally have taken much longer to recover. I so was excited to be able to join everyone for worship that I was not going to let this incident hold me back. That evening during worship, some other students noticed me limping and asked if they could pray for my ankle. Each time they prayed it felt better. Finally, all the pain had gone. Not only could I walk without a limp, but I was even able to jump and dance. I had been completely healed!
